Hanumangarh, Rajasthan | March 8, 2025 – March 10, 2025
The Krishi Mahotsav – 2025, a grand three-day agricultural technology fair held from March 8, 2025 to March 10, 2025 at SKD University, Hanumangarh, concluded with resounding success. The event brought together farmers, scientists, entrepreneurs, and policymakers on one dynamic platform.

Organized under the leadership of the District Administration Hanumangarh in collaboration with SKD University and supported by the Departments of Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Cooperation, and Industry, the Mahotsav attracted an overwhelming participation of more than 1.92 lakh farmers directly and nearly 5 lakhs indirectly from Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.

With 185 exhibition stalls, including 22 showcasing heavy machinery, the event highlighted cutting-edge innovations such as agri-drones, drip irrigation systems, solar-powered pumps, mobile soil testing labs, and climate-smart farming practices. A dedicated livestock exhibition featuring high-quality breeds of cows, buffaloes, goats, and horses provided practical knowledge on breeding, nutrition, and disease management.

The Mahotsav served as a hub of knowledge exchange with scientists and experts from ICAR, PUSA, SKRAU, and other leading institutions conducting lectures and workshops on organic farming, soil health, irrigation management, livestock care, and agribusiness opportunities. Women’s Self-Help Groups (SHGs) received a special platform to market their products, while rural youth drew inspiration from agri-startups and technology-driven entrepreneurship.
Commercially, the event recorded sales worth ₹19.6 crores, covering farm machinery, irrigation systems, fertilizers, horticulture tools, and livestock products—demonstrating its strong economic impact.
The cultural vibrancy of the Mahotsav was amplified by folk singer Kanwar Grewal and poet-comedian Khyali Saharan, whose performances celebrated the spirit of farmers and rural life.
Speaking on the occasion, organizers emphasized that the Mahotsav was not just an exhibition but a movement toward innovation-driven, farmer-centric rural development. By bridging farmers with technology, government schemes, and markets, the fair has set a model for integrated agricultural growth in Rajasthan and beyond.
